The Yellow Boats That Made School Safer

Children in Sitio Layag-Layag once had to swim through tidal waters to reach school, carrying their uniforms and books inside plastic bags. After learning about their daily journey, Jay Jaboneta and Dr. Anton Lim helped establish the Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation. Its bright yellow boats gave students a safer way to cross the water and helped keep education within reach.
