The Night Patrols Protecting Pawikan

In La Union, skills once used to find and sell turtle eggs are now helping protect them. CURMA works with former poachers and local fishermen who patrol beaches at night, move vulnerable eggs to protected hatcheries, and guide newborn pawikan safely toward the sea. The work did not begin with perfect choices. It began when people were given a practical reason and a real opportunity to choose differently.
